I talked in my last post about the FarmVille Secrets guide being a hot seller. So I thought I'd take a brief aside and tell you a little more about it. I consider myself to be relatively well educated in the latest generation of social networking site games like Mafia Wars, Vampire Wars, and such. That's why when I started to see these FarmVille guides popping up all over the place I was kind of surprised. I mean, I can see why people might need some tips to get going in games like Mafia Wars, but FarmVille?
At this point though I hadn't actually played the game, but I didn't really think it could be all that complicated. I figured I should give it a shot though, just so that I could say I knew what I was talking about. And I was in for a rather big surprise. In no time, I was out of money and had no crops to plant. I have to admit, there way more to this game than I had anticipated.
I eventually managed to dig myself out of my original hole and out of the red, but I still wasn't making all that much progress. I started to think that maybe I needed to see what these guides were all about. I wasn't really expecting much, but since I hadn't done so well on my own either, I figured it was worth a shot.
So I picked up a guide called FarmVille Secrets, and was pleasantly surprised by the tips I found in it. You wouldn't think there were so many ways you could screw up a virtual farm, but believe me, you can. I was still stumbling along at level 6 when I got the guide after 2 weeks of playing regularly. Now I'm the proud owner of a plantation and a level 26 Sultan of Soil. And I still look back at my guide from time to time. If you're having trouble getting into the swing of things in FarmVille, this guide is not a bad investment.

Clickbank Progress Update #4
Ok, So I decided to give it a week or so before I came back so that I could give my adwords configurations and my clickbank products a fair shot at producing. So far I've spent about $250 in advertising with only $97 in sales. I could see, however, if you had the money to spend on the front end, that you could begin to profit by doing more volume. For example, If you put out $50 in ads, you make one sale at $20, so it's a loss. But it seems that if you put out $100 in ads you could make 6 sales at $120, so you profit. I think it has a lot to do with volume of traffic and how cheap you can get it. I dont think there's any product on clickbank converting at better than 2%. If you know different, please say so. Even with the loss however I feel I am getting close to "cracking the code" on affiliate marketing.
One product that is hot right now is the FarmVille Secrets Guide. It is an e-book showing secret tips and tricks on the popular social app FarmVille. I've sold a few copies of it in my quest. It is actually helping me break even right now, and has had no returns (unlike Mobile TV Pro) which means it must be a good product. I haven't tried it personally, because I don't do the FarmVille thing, but if you can comment on it please do. You can check out the website for it at FarmVille Secrets.
I will keep this update going, at least until I go broke, lol. I'll let you guys know how my money making is progressing, if at all, in a couple of days.
Later,
Chad

Clickbank Progress Update #3
Well, it's been a whole weekend, so here's a recap. I spent close to $100 in advertising on Adwords. I made 2 sales, for a total of $45.20. Still not a profit, but definitely I think I'm getting closer to find the winning formula. I made some adjustments today based on the sales and order form impressions analytics as well as adding some more products. One of the products is one of my own, The Ultimate Ebay Collection, which is some resell rights material I bought for success on Ebay. It's really good stuff, so I'm hoping it sells. Another product I'm trying is the Silent Profit Machine, a product that claims recurring commissions for up to one year. We'll see. As always good luck to you all and stayed tuned for the next update.

Clickbank Progress Update #2
Okay It's a new day. The bad news is I haven't made a sale yet. Not one. The good news (sort of) is that Google didn't use my entire $40 budget yesterday. It only used about $12. So, today the plan is the same, since it hasn't actually had a whole 24 hours to test results. I am also only paying an average of about 6 cents per click, even though my bid is set much higher. I am telling you, relevancy outweighs your bid. I did have some order form impressions for the Truth About Abs products, and one submit, but no sales. We will see as it goes on. I am leaving all my other Adwords campaigns on pause to see if this new experiment will work. I'll let you know.
Until Then,
Chad

Clickbank Progress Update #1
Okay guys and gals,
Yesterday I spent about $20 bucks on adwords and turned up the big goose egg. Zero sales. I got one order form submit for Mobile TV Pro, but not a sale. I got a little over two hundred clicks on various products. Today I am rolling out a new strategy, if it works I'll share it with you. I'm going to choose one product with claims of high conversions and run 4 different campaign styles with it. I am going to set my budget for today at $40. The product will be Truth About Abs. Supposedly it has a good conversion rate. I will pause all my other campaigns so I can just track these. One thing I have learned is that it's not a bad idea to contact the vendor to ask for help. After all, if you make a sale, they make a sale, so they are usually willing to help in any way possible to get you profiting quickly so you don't give up. My advice is if they don't answer an e-mail within 24 hours, they are probably not worth promoting, as their customer service is most likely lacking as well. Stay tuned, I will update on the progress of my new strategies tomorrow.

My Clickbank Progress
I thought I would start blogging about my progress with the popular affiliate site Clickbank. So Far I have promoted 10 items, using only Google Adwords, and have spent $250 with only one sale bringing in a whopping $22.60. This was for the Mobile TV Pro product in my earlier post. Now, I'm sticking with it, just changing some strategy because I believe in the product. Other products I have dropped, such as registry cleaners and driver updaters. Another product that I am suprised to find out isn't converting is Movies Capital. I have sent literally hundreds of clicks with no bites. I haven't figured that one out yet, but I'll keep you posted. I have found out some tricks to keywords though and getting them for low amounts. First, it seems the two major factors in keyword cost are competition and relevance. So what I have done is found high traffic, low competition keywords, and then tailored my ads to make them as relevant as possible to the best keywords. Right now, I'm averaging a cost of only 7 cents per click. But, as I said, I am not making a profit thus far. I'm gonna implement some new strategies that I've come up with and I'll let you know how it goes. Also, I have dumped any keywords in campaigns where the ad shows in 5th place or worse. It seems to have increased my CTR. Stay tuned for the next update, either later today or tomorrow probably. On a side note, I am also experimenting with some stuff on Linkshare, something I'll talk about in another post.
Later On,
Chad

Mobile TV on Your Phone?
If you're like me, you like to be able to watch some TV every now and then on your phone. When I'm traveling, I watch some games or whatever. The problem is, it's not like I watch it all that often. But to be able to get actual live tv on your phone, not just 2 minute podcasts, you have to pay a subscription fee each month. I'm just not sure I watch it enough for that. Well, no more subscription fees. I have found a great mobile tv app that is a one-time download with no subscription fees ever. It is called Mobile TV Pro. I have provided the link for you, because it is simply awesome.
Just imagine only paying for one download and that's it. Ever. Plus, there are a lot more channels on Mobile TV Pro than there are on those monthly guys. Give it a look, it's really a great deal. There's also a link on the front page of myappsworld.com to the mobile tv app.
